Our Team

Kira Kim IBCLC
Founder and President

Kira Kim is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in private practice serving families in the Greater Boston area of Massachusetts. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Public health, is a Clinical Herbalist and has studied out-of-hospital based midwifery care through Mercy in Action and the Massachusetts Midwives Alliance.

She is the former President of the Massachusetts Lactation Consultant Association and former consumer chair on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Midwives Alliance. Her clinical interests include oral motor dysfunction and habilitation, airway disorders, oral restrictions and birth injury/structural compromise in the infant. Her herbalism specialty is reproductive endocrinology

When she’s not immersed in lactation and herbalism, you can find her playing piano, zipping around the back roads of the North Shore with the windows down, or reading a dry piece of research in the sun. She lives by the beach with her husband, their four rambunctious kids, and an old, lazy cat.

Sarah Gregory IBCLC
Treasurer

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Sarah enthusiastically helps families reach their feeding goals: from nursing to formula feeding to somewhere in between. She combines her personal experience and instinctual compassion with a wealth of factual knowledge to help her families flourish in the postpartum period and beyond. Her years of experience as a doula working with people in the postpartum period guides her lactation support. She looks at the “whole picture” of the family and the baby. By referring to her extensive training on newborn sleep, infant development, and postpartum recovery, she helps families understand how these aspects are invariably intertwined with nursing and eating patterns. The postpartum period is difficult but fleeting; Sarah loves working with parents to make adjustments so that breastfeeding becomes manageable and so they can enjoy their time with their baby.

In Sarah’s free time, she enjoys reading, knitting, hula hooping, doing arts and crafts, and playing outside with her family. She lives in Ipswich, Massachusetts with her family

Maria Peddy IBCLC
Secretary

For nearly 6 years, I have been practicing lactation support at Umass Memorial Hospital, first as a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and now in my own private practice as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)

I strive to understand and respect each family’s unique needs and dynamics to support them in their feeding goals. I’ve come to learn that this doesn’t always look like the peaceful pictures you see on the internet and oftentimes comes with a lot of hard work and determination. When I’m not working with families I’m usually getting dirty somewhere – either in my garden or in my pottery studio. “I can’t wait” often sounds like a platitude these days, but I am thoroughly passionate about my work and truly can’t wait to help people achieve your goals.

Arlene Lammy CLE
General Board Member

Arlene Lammy (she/her) is a Black doula and Certified Lactation Educator serving Northern Boston and Southern New Hampshire areas. She practices within the lens of Full Spectrum reproductive care and is a former Early Childhood Education teacher. Arlene’s career as a doula was catapulted by being witness to the birth of her nephew.

Arlene has trained with midwife Shafia Monroe, and is committed to continuing the legacy of traditional African American midwifery practices. As the daughter of Caribbean immigrants, Arlene’s work serves to bridge gaps between ancestral traditions and modern family life. Arlene is dedicated to the care and support of all birthing people and feels called to support growing families and women’s lifetime health.

Kendra Dufour CLC
General Board Member

Kendra has been a Birth and Postpartum Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) since 2016.

Kendra became especially passionate about breastfeeding when she found out she was pregnant with her first child. She quickly realized how imperative it was to have proper support and encouragement on one’s breastfeeding journey. This is one of the main reasons she decided to become a lactation support professional.

As a CLC, she enjoys supporting birthing persons and their families in those early days and weeks postpartum, as they strive to meet their breastfeeding/ chestfeeding goals. Kendra has plans to work towards earning her IBCLC credentials in the near future as there is a large need for more Black and Brown IBCLCs in the industry.

Kendra resides in Framingham and is a mother to one human son and one furry pup, named Jax.
